North Carolina Flooring Store Abruptly Closes After Taking Thousands From Customers
Nothing worse than paying for something and not getting the job done. This is exactly what happened to many customers of a Lake Norman flooring company. This North Carolina flooring store abruptly closed after taking thousands of dollars from customers.
According to WSOC-TV, Flowers Flooring in Cornelius shut its doors without letting anyone know they were closing. It appears that many people put down thousands expecting new flooring. Instead, they got a headache and nothing else.
A local customer named Jeannette said, “We thought, ‘You know what, they’re local. They’ve been in business for several years. We took out money, we borrowed money to do this and now to see that just taken away by somebody for no reason. It’s devastating. I just don’t know what to do.”
Jeanette says they put down 13 thousand dollars in the Spring and have had no work done. Many other unhappy people have come forward saying they are also out thousands of dollars. WSOC-TV says they emailed, called, and messaged the store on Facebook but did not hear back. The company’s phone number didn’t work, and its website was down.
