On Friday, January 10th, National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, Circle K, Salesforce and the U.S. Attorneys Office helped raise awareness and funds in the aid to stop human trafficking.
Human Trafficking has been recognized as one of the most disturbing and challenging topics facing our country and sadly, an incredibly diverse population, with a majority of these being women and children in the Carolinas that have been greatly affected and impacted by this commercial activity. A criminal act that is induced by the use of force, fraud or coercion or in which the person induced to perform this commercial sex act is under the age of 18.
