If you’re like most Americans you probably made some sort of New Year’s resolutions. They are easy to make (mentally I have about 7) but significantly harder to keep. But did you know that where you live can impact if you keep those resolutions? Think about it this way: If your neighborhood is lacking sidewalks and gyms it will be harder to be motivated to work out. Additionally, if most of your restaurant and grocery shopping options are limited to fast food and other unhealthy options – you may be less likely to eat healthier.

To determine where Americans are most likely to stick to their goals for 2022, WalletHub looked at some of the most popular (and most commonly broken) resolutions. They took those resolutions and ranked more than 180 U.S. cities based on their conduciveness to self-improvement. These cities include the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state — across five key dimensions: 1) Health Resolutions, 2) Financial Resolutions, 3) School & Work Resolutions, 4) Bad-Habit Resolutions and 5) Relationship Resolutions.
