Space Force’s First Mission Is Today
CAPE CANAVERAL, FL - FEBRUARY 05: The SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket sits on launch pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center as it is prepared for tomorrow's lift-off on February 5, 2018 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The rocket, which is the most powerful rocket in the world, is scheduled to make its maiden flight between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. tomorrow. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
SpaceX is set for a historic launch.
A Falcon 9 rocket is set to blast off today from Cape Canaveral in the company’s first launch as part of a US Space Force mission. The Space Force was created in December, and the rocket in today’s launch will carry satellites for military use. A 15-minute launch window begins just before 4 o’clock this afternoon, Eastern time. Weather is 60-percent “Go.”
Also, I have binged Space Force on Netflix and despite what haters say, it is pleasantly entertaining.
