Someone Bought A Winning Mega Millions Ticket In Pineville, North Carolina
Someone just got richer in North Carolina. Or maybe they live in South Carolina? Either way, the lottery money is ready to flow for one lucky winner.
WBTV says that a million-dollar lottery ticket was sold at a 7-eleven in Pineville.
Officials with the North Carolina Education Lottery confirmed Wednesday that a Mega Millions ticket sold at the 7-Eleven on South Polk Street in Pineville is worth $1 million. Now the question goes to who is the winner.
Nobody won the Mega Millions on Tuesday, so now it is up to 1.25 billion.
Executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery, Mark Michalko said, “Once again we see that even if you don’t win the jackpot, great prizes can still be won playing Mega Millions. Make sure to always check your tickets carefully after each drawing since there are nine different ways to win.”
Four tickets in North Carolina matched four white balls and the yellow Mega ball to win $10,000. The wins occurred:
- At the Food Lion on Fayetteville Road in Raleigh
- At the Circle K on N.C 27 West in Sanford
- At the Sheetz on New Garden Road in Greensboro
- At the Walmart on U.S. 70 in Newport
Seems like the jackpots keep getting bigger and bigger. But if you think it is easy money, this should wake you up. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million. Good Luck.
