Prepare your tissues, this is a tear-jerker.
A Utah Sheriff’s Deputy issued an apology video to a little boy who offered to pay for his meal, but the Deputy declined the offer.
The Deputy was waiting in the drive-thru of a fast-food burger restaurant and was engaged in a conversation with another officer on the phone when the boy knocked on his window and asked if he could pay for the Deputy’s meal. He told the boy, “no thank you, he was good.”
He then felt bad about two things. The first was that he did not give the boy the attention he probably should have since he was caught up in the phone call, and second, he denied the boy from performing an act of kindness. He wanted to find out who the boy was so that he could make things right and posted the video below and it worked.
Every one of us, at one time or another, has done something which, in hindsight, we regret. Today @UCSO Deputy Greer Haymond had one of those moments at In-N-Out Burger in Spanish Fork, Utah.
