Sweat is also a natural way for your body to detox. Sweating gets rid of all kinds of toxins in the body. This includes removing heavy metals and BPA, a chemical that’s found in things like plastic and resin.
Working up a good sweat can help you to improve your mood and sleep better. Sweating does this by releasing endorphins, which are happy hormones. Once you start to heat up and sweat, your body has to work harder to circulate your blood and cool you down. This is what tells your body to release the endorphins and it could even cause those around you to release endorphins and boost their moods as well.
Another pro of sweating is that it helps to keep the skin moisturized and healthy. Not only is sweat an efficient moisturizer, it also helps to prevent bad microbes from growing and becomes an effective skin barrier which boosts immunity. Sweat can also help to prevent things like acne, but you have to remember to wash after sweating. Leaving sweat on the skin can cause the opposite effect and lead to clogged pores and acne.
