RARELY do I get excited about summer TV series. For the most part I feel they are filler and/or rejects that executives didn’t think could cut it during the year.

That all changes with this.

“American Woman” is coming to The Paramount Network in June and is inspired by the real-life upbringing of Kyle Richards (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).

Here’s the official synposis: “American Woman follows Bonnie (Alicia Silverstone-pictured above), an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in 1970’s Los Angeles.”

I know…that sounds as boring as the day is long.
