The 80s and 90s babies are rejoicing after noticing that the website for Blockbuster was back online. CBS News is reporting that the company may be on a comeback. It all started when the once-popular movie rental giant posted on Twitter, “new business idea, we’re going to come back as a bank and use VHS and DVDs as currency. Time to go visit your mom.”
Automatically, fans believed it was the signal of a comeback for the well-loved company. “If they make a comeback in ANY way, I will cry,” posted one fan. Three days later, Blockbuster revealed the post was a joke, but it was too little too late. What do you think will be Blockbuster’s next move? What’s your fondest Blockbuster memory?
