Gallery and Video: Happy Birthday Tanner!
We have got to make this a national holiday. It is Tanner’s birthday ya’ll so join me in wishing our fearless morning show co host a very happy 29th birthday, or is it his 38th; it IS another trip around the sun and we are so grateful they keep coming around for him.
I’ll brag on him a minute. I am not the only lady co host he has had over his past seventeen years but I am the one who has put up with him the longest. Of course, I am kidding, we are very good friends and I count his wife Missy as one of my best friends ever. We have a great time every single day. He is the longest running morning man ever in the 50 year history of this radio station and has had 16 ACM and CMA nominations. And hey we did win an ACM for Major Market Personalities of the Year 2019. I could go on and on. But I’ll break down a few of the reasons why I REALLY love the guy.
He cried when Laura’s dog died in reruns of Little House on The Prairie. I mean how sweet is that. The man has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. He is no stranger to mispronouncing words and it’s really kind of adorable when it happens. And it happens a lot:) He has survived three cancers with courage and a sense of humor. You can’t tell it but he works through pain every single day. His surgeries have been brutal but he shows up with a smile and a wit that you can only be born with. We have been on countless trips together for work and have probably interviewed hundreds of artists over our years together. We were probably the only two people in the theater to get bored and walk out of Hamilton at intermission. He and his family even joined us for part of our honeymoon! We love us some Rob Tanner. He adores his family; he’s a great friend and he loves Jesus.
