North Carolina Coffee Roaster Is Going Nationwide With Popular Local Brand
I can’t start my day without a hot cup of coffee as seemingly tons of people do. And now, a North Carolina coffee roaster is going nationwide with his popular local brand. So, perhaps you are already acquainted with Magnolia Coffee. The Charlotte, North Carolina roaster’s brand appears on shelves of Whole Foods and other hot spots.
But, the 13 year old brand has a chance to go nationwide now thanks to help from a local entrepreneur. According to AXIOS Charlotte, Magnolia Coffee’s founder Jay Gestwicki has backing from another Charlotte native. And, Mac Lackey has a long history with investments in dozens of companies.
Magnolia Coffee’s Gestwicki points out that the micro coffee roaster business grows by leaps and bounds, especially since 2020. He says, “When I started Magnolia in 2010, there were two other roasters in Charlotte, and right around 2020 I counted over 40 micro-roasters in the Charlotte metro area.
And, as Magnolia Coffee’s website mentions, “boutique specialty coffee is more than a beverage, it’s an art form.” They’re serious about their brand, as is the case with most coffee lovers. Plus, the brand also takes being socially conscious seriously, with respect for farmers and sustainability for the environment. Their website explains how they give back to communities through fundraisers in schools and churches. And, they partner with agencies to end hunger and homelessness.
Also, I found browsing their site that Magnolia Coffee is available in so many local Charlotte shops and restaurants. So, with such love among the Queen City, it makes sense that the North Carolina coffee roaster is going nationwide with the popular local brand.
