Shania Twain Reveals Which Actor Inspired “That Don’t Impress Me Much”
Shania Twain is taking us on a walk down memory lane in regards to who inspired her hit song “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
The song is off the album Come On Over — released in 1997.
Let’s travel back to the year 1997 for a moment, shall we?
Enters Brad Pitt.
Yes, there’s actually a reason Twain name-dropped the actor in the song.
In 1997, Pitt was involved in a naked photo scandal with then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow. The photos were taken without the actor’s permission and were later published in Playgirl magazine.
During a recent interview with Billboard, Twain was asked why she chose to mention Pitt rather than another actor. The country music star recalled hearing of the scandal and telling a friend, “That don’t impress me much.”
Twain went on to explain that we see naked people all the time and she didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.
