Acts Of Violence
“The Post” is the big movie that is released this week (Friday), but there is a smaller film that has caught my eye and piqued my interest.
“Acts of Violence” stars Bruce Willis and Cole Hauser. Although I’m almost positive that this film quickly becomes just another vigilante-shoot-em-up, at its core is an issue that isn’t discussed enough and that is human trafficking.
Charlotte saw an uptick of 62% in the last year and is the number one city in the state for sex trafficking…a state that is in the nation’s top 10! It’s got to stop. So, anything that brings this problem to the forefront of consciousness, I’m interested in.
“Acts of Violence,” again, opens this Friday, January 12.
