Red Sparrow
Jennifer Lawrence: Prince Harry is about as down-to-earth as royals get, and even though Jennifer Lawrence is an Oscar winner she’s got an endearingly goofy sense of humor. Together, these two would enjoy a low-key romance. Plus as an A-list actress, she’s been in enough high-powered situations to handle herself well around the Queen. What do you do when you are a Russian ballerina whose Bolshoi dreams come to a screeching halt?
That’s what faces Dominika Egorova (Jennifer Lawrence) after she suffers an injury that ends her career. She’s quickly “recruited” to Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people to use their minds and bodies as weapons.
To say she emerges as mad, bad, and dangerous to know from that sadistic training, may be an understatement. Then, as she’s coming into her own with her new abilities, Dominika meets a CIA agent who tries to convince her that he is the only person she can trust.
Uh-oh.
Russian spies, American double-agents, Jennifer Lawrence with an accent kicking arse? I am BEYOND all in on “Red Sparrow” opening in theaters on March 2.
