It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than 20 years and 5 movies, but the “Mission: Impossible” film franchise is still going strong and offering number 6 arrives in theaters on July 27th.
Tom Cruise today announced that they’d “upped the ante” with the new film and gave the film a title, “Mission: Impossible-Fallout.”
Here’s the official synopsis:
“The best intentions often come back to haunt you. Mission: Impossible – Fallout finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast.”
Let’s hope things work out better for Cruise’s character, “Ethan Hunt” in the movie, than they did during the filming of this stunt-that broke the actor’s leg and set back production more than 6 weeks.
