Dear Dictator

So, this is an interesting premise for a movie.
What if you are a teenage girl who doesn’t quite fit in? What if you are assigned (in class) to write to a person in the world you admire? What if you pic a Fidel Castro-like dictator figure (who sounds like Michael Caine)? And what if he begins to correspond with you?
There you have it. And then, what if this dictator gets deposed and then shows up in your world?
I’m not sure how this is going to play, but there are a lot of funny and talented people in the cast (Caine, Katie Holmes, Seth Green, Jason Biggs).
“Dear Dictator” opens March 16.
