A Different Perspective On A “Day Off”
I remember seeing this movie in the late summer of 1986 like it was yesterday. I had to work later that afternoon/evening and the girl I was dating had some commitment as well, so we went out to lunch and to a matinee.
That tells you how big a deal “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” was…I can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but I remember a random date from 32 years ago?!
I cannot even tell you how Ferris Bueller (played by Matthew Broderick-pictured above) became the hero of every high school guy-instantly. He literally got away with EVERYTHING and made the adults in his life look stupid in the process.
And, based on our son’s love of the movie, it stands the test of time as well. However, this video made me laugh as when you watch it as an adult…you look at things a little differently.
