Although more than 14 years have passed since his death, Michael Jackson’s musical and historical legacy is still discussed by fans. Jackson was one of the most controversial figures, surrounded by rumors, whether related to legal issues, accusations of assault, or cosmetic procedures.
One of the controversies surrounding the change in his skin tone. Jackson had a darker skin tone, but, over time, it became lighter. Prince Jackson appeared on former boxer Mike Tyson’s podcast Hotboxin’. Tyson discussed the late singer’s skin tone and pointed out that people thought Michael Jackson was changing his skin because he wanted to be white.
The former boxer explained, “Everybody thought he was changing his skin because he wanted to be white, but he was changing it because he wanted to glow.”
Then, Prince Jackson added that his father talked to him about vitiligo, a skin condition, and how to deal with it. “He had a lot of insecurity around looking blotchy in his appearance,” Jackson said. “So, he wanted to see if he could smooth out his appearance, to help with his security on his physical appearance.”
