Charlotte Woman Delivers Flowers To Hundreds Of North Carolina Widows On Valentine’s Day
This is so sweet. Valentine’s day can be especially hard for people who have lost their spouses. On a day devoted to love it can be a harsh reminder that their love is no longer here. One Charlotte woman has made it her mission to make Valentine’s just a little bit brighter for widows and widowers.
Sunny Skyz says Ashley Manning spent yesterday delivering flowers to widows. Over 150 volunteers helped Ashley deliver 400 arrangements. Local businesses and individuals paid for the flowers.
Ashley delivers the flowers to widows in the Charlotte area every Valentine’s Day. Last year, she started her “Valentine’s Day Widow Outreach” by asking her followers on Instagram to send her names and addresses of widows so she could bring them flower arrangements.
She ended up delivering 121 arrangements, even though her goal was just 25. Thank you for all you and your volunteers do Ashley!
