The Charlotte Hornets Mascot Makes A Lot More Than Most Of Us
So you go to an NBA game and you see that crazy character running around the arena. That’s an NBA mascot. Wearing a heavy suit and a big old headpiece. That is the life of most NBA mascots. Don’t feel too bad for them. Some are making BIG bucks!
According to Bleacher Report, most NBA mascots make around $60,000 per year on average. But there are exceptions. Rocky the Mountain Lion of the Denver Nuggets makes 625K a season. Closer to home, Harry the Hawk makes 600K. Benny the Bull up in Chicago makes 400K.
Our very own Hugo the Hornet makes above the 60K average. Hugo rakes in 100K a season. Before you start getting ready to apply for an NBA mascot job, remember most of these folks are athletes that can do some pretty amazing stunts!
