Man Dies Falling From South Carolina Hotel Balcony
An Ohio man attempting to execute a handstand from the 15th floor of a Myrtle Beach hotel died when he fell from the balcony. According to WSOC-TV, 34-year-old Markell Hope fell from the balcony at the Patricia Grand Hotel at about 3:30 p.m. Markell is from Akron and apparently was in town on vacation.
This happened as Hurricane Ian hit the shores of South Carolina. Mr. Hope was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are still investigating. Right now his death is considered accidental.
This is very sad. Why he decided to tempt fate by doing a handstand on a balcony with high winds is not known.
