This Clover, South Carolina Man Advances On American Idol

I watched with pride as 19 year old Aiden Adair walked up to perform in front of the three judges for American Idol. It was a special source of pride for me and about 7,900 people from York County. We watched one of our own perform on one of the nation’s biggest stages. This Clover, South Carolina man advances to Hollywood on American Idol. He got that coveted Golden Ticket. You could just feel all of Clover standing to their feet.
Of course we knew Aiden was going to try out, it is all we are talking about in Clover. You hear it in conversation at Clover Station or at the Eagles Nest. Someone from Clover is about to do something big.
Aiden walked into the audition room in Nashville and there in front of him was Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie and Luke Bryan. Aiden sang shyly at first but with a little encouragement from the judges he sang another song. Katy announced that his singing went from a “4” to an “8” in a matter of five minutes and they gave him a golden ticket. This young Clover, South Carolina man advances to the next round on American Idol and all the sudden I am watching that show again.
