Multiple Dogs Rescued From A Reported Dog Fighting Ring in North Carolina
So sad to see dogs having to live a life of daily fear. Up to fourteen dogs have been rescued from a reported dog fighting operation in North Carolina. Hopefully their days of living in fear are over.
The Humane Society along with Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement served a search warrant this week on a home at East Sixth Avenue. Captain Billy Downy tells Channel 9 in Charlotte, “We received information several weeks ago about a possible dog fighting ring in this area or dog fighting situation”.
The dogs were found in horrible conditions. They were reportedly living in makeshift enclosures on the property. The dogs were reportedly found with injuries presumably from the dog fighting. Vets says the dogs teeth are in horrible condition. The Humane Society transported all the animals to an undisclosed location for now. They are expected to get treatment.
