A $2 dollar lottery ticket sold from a Charlotte convenience store turned into a one million dollar prize. That win in North Carolina over the weekend was the largest in the nation in Saturday’s drawing.
One lucky person’s life has just been changed. They purchased the lottery ticket at the Food Mart on the Plaza. All five white balls matched and that means Charlotte claims the largest powerball winning for Saturday night’s drawing. According to our source, Channel 9, Saturday’s white ball numbers were 06, 15, 24, 67 and 68 with a red ball of 11.
So what are the odds? Not very good. According to the North Carolina Education lottery, the odds of matching all five white balls are 1 in 11.6 million. The odds aren’t great and yet someone did indeed win.
There is an 85 million dollar jackpot available Monday. At this time, the name of the winner is not known. If you win the lottery in South Carolina you can keep it to yourself but in North Carolina the winner’s name will be revealed.
Here is a question that gets batted around. If you won the million dollar prize what luxury item would you purchase?
