Apple Has Redesigned Its Maps App
I was driving to Columbia, SC yesterday when I realized something was off with my maps. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but my app looked…different. Anyways, I kept moving forward on my route when I came to a stoplight and noticed what was different. I now had little icons for stop signs and stoplights! Not sure if everyone has already had this cool feature but it was new to me!
I wasn’t sure what I did to receive such a surprise, but then I read about Apple rolling out a newly redesigned Maps app for users in the United States. The new app will feature indoor maps of airports and malls.
According to Apple, the new design will also offer closer looks at roads, buildings, and some pretty cool features like 3D views of flyovers. Maps is the most used app on iPhone and the revamp comes from Apple workers and anonymous data from other Apple users.
