Changes This Year At The Carolina Renaissance Festival
According to WSOC-TV, tickets for the 2022 Carolina Renaissance Festival go on sale Friday. Things will be a bit different this year.
A limited number of date-specific tickets will be sold online starting on Friday. This is while supplies last. General admission tickets valid for any event date will no longer be sold at retail locations.
Festival folks said the changes are to help address traffic issues.
Director of marketing Matt Siegel said, “This is the most significant operational change in the festival’s near three-decade history.” He also said that tickets will only be available at the festival’s onsite box office on event days that are not sold out in advance.
Hours will be different this year. The festival will open 30 minutes earlier. The 29th annual Carolina Renaissance Festival will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 1 to Nov. 20.
The festival takes place on a 250-acre farm located north of Charlotte.
