Beasley Media Group Charlotte’s “Truckloads For Texas” Raises $2.8 Million Worth Of Supplies For Hurricane Harvey Relief!
The New 103.7 along with our Charlotte Beasley Media Group stations partnered with Metrolina Greenhouse to fill up 18-wheeler tractor trailers for our “Truckloads For Texas” event to help with the relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey in the Houston and surrounding areas.
We love our listeners, and you came out in huge numbers! You helped to donate $2.8 million worth of supplies, almost 350 tons worth of them, that filled six Metrolina Greenhouse 18-wheelers to the brim and are immediately being shipped down to Houston and surrounding areas.
Over 65 Beasley Media Group staff members pitched in to take your donations at Circle K on 6519 Brookshire Blvd, and we couldn’t thank you enough for all of your donations including bottles of water, toiletries, canned goods, charcoal grills/charcoal, toilet paper, and even hand-written notes from pre-schoolers!
