Justin Moore’s Not-So-Big New Year’s Eve Party Plans
Ringing in the new year might be the best excuse for a party ever. Justin Moore isn’t all that interested, though, and plans to spend this one hanging out at home.
Early in his career Justin Moore could be found on stage on New Year’s Eve. That eventually gave way to partying with family and friends, however. “For years and years and years I always had to play New Year’s Eve because you can get more money that night,” he explains in an interview released by his record label. “[But] the last five, six, seven years I just said I ain’t playin’ New Year’s Eve because it’s fun to kind of be with everybody.”

And these days? Let’s just say there’s more couch surfing involved. “In all honesty I don’t [remember] the last year that I’ve actually made it to midnight,” Justin continues. “Me and [wife] Kate, [will] hang and have family over and do that stuff during the day or [in] the afternoon. And then we struggle and struggle and struggle to make it [through] whatever New Year’s Eve show we’re watching and never actually make it.”
Justin certainly has plenty of time to that this year. He’s back at home with the fam’ for the next few weeks. His Hell On A Highway Tour picks up again January 19th in Prescott Valley, AZ. See a complete list of dates here.
