Big On Homes: Isn’t There Something Amazing About Your Land
I can still remember the day I bought my first house, walking through the front yard, my buddy said something really cool to me. It wasn’t about the house, or the fact you could see the lake from the front porch, but something else.
His comment was about the land and the trees on it. He literally said, “Isn’t it cool to think these trees are now yours. These trees are now your trees.” I don’t know why but I thought that was the coolest idea ever. Here are these trees that have been growing for decades, and now have been passed on to me. At that time I only had a half acre, but lately I’ve been looking for more!
The other day I was walking a 3+ acre property with a few friends that backed up to a State Park, and as we walked through the woods, just checking it out, we had some great conversations. On top of that we seen a few deer, and even a few folks enjoying the State Park. It was something amazing to walk the land and realize that one day it could be mine.
I think the thing I really think is cool, is the fact that land can’t really be made anymore. If you find one piece, it’s totally unlike any other. Each is unique the way it flows, the way its shaped, and the characteristics. To be honest, it makes me want more, and more, and more of it every single day I look. The question is, Which do you prefer?
