Carly Pearce’s On Her ‘Side Stage Fiancé,’ Michael Ray
Carly Pearce got to chat with People Now after she read the nominations for the 2019 CMT Music Awards and found out her video “Closer To You” was nominated in the Female Video of the Year category.
Carly discussed her fiancé Michael Ray, who appears in the video. “We really do respect each other as singers, songwriters and business people, so it’s really fun.”
She’s back on the road with Jason Aldean’s “Ride All Night Tour” and she notes that she gets to bring Michael Ray along for the shows. She says, “My fiancé gets to come out all weekend so maybe we’ll celebrate there.”
When Michael does join Carly out on the road she says “He jokes and says he’s ‘Side Stage Fiancé.'” And that’s okay with him; Pearce says that everyone on the tour loves when Ray comes around.
