You always have to be flexible with the time schedule, flexible with the budget, and flexible with your patience. Sometimes when you take up something as simple as flooring, the plan changes. Which then leads to spending more money, taking a longer time to finish, and also pushing your patience. I’ve learned this time and time again in remodels I have taken on.
That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t do it, but just be prepared to run into issues along the way. The same goes with painting a house and especially when taking on bigger remodel projects. The more you are ready, the easier it will be. So just be ready to be flexible.
