Carrie Underwood Shares A Close Bond With Her Mother
It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood is a mama’s girl and is very attached to her mother, Carole, who still lives in the same hometown where Carrie grew up in Oklahoma. She even brought her mom on stage to sing “All-American Girl” at her Las Vegas Residency in March, and Carole can sing!
Underwood, a mother of two boys of her own, has often talked about the closeness she shares with her mom. A few years back, she told me about her bond with her mom, “I was the last of three girls, and the next sister up is 10 years older than I am. So, growing up, I had my sisters, who were much older, and then when they left, it was just pretty much me and my mom, and my dad was there. So, we were really close, closer than I think a lot of moms and daughters are.”
She added, “We love each other very much, and she was the person that I felt I missed the most when I left home.”
Carrie’s mom also appeared in her 2010 video for “Mama’s Song.”

Underwood and her sisters and mother got matching tattoos after one of Carrie’s shows at Resort World in Las Vegas earlier this month. She posted a photo of the tats on her Instagram.
Carrie posted a handful of images of her, her sisters, and her mom getting the tattoos, including one shot of Carrie on a table getting a tattoo on her foot. She captioned the images of her sisters and mom at the tattoo shop, “When your 74-year-old mother asks you and your sisters to get matching tattoos with her in Vegas, the only questions are, ‘What?’ and ‘Where?’ I never would’ve thought I’d see the day that Mama Carole would be gettin’ some ink! She added, “Thanks, @darekriley, for being so sweet to the Underwood girls! (heart emoji).”
Many fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, “That’s wonderful.” Another fan commented, “I love this and the size. It’s adorable.” One more fan said, “Hahaha!! Love it.”
