Pearce co-wrote her latest single, “We Don’t Fight Anymore” featuring Stapleton alongside Shane McAnally and Pete Good. It is the first new music from the Female Vocalist of the Year nominee since the release of her third studio album, 29: Written In Stone.
“I feel like it was unexpected to come with something this deep again, but it was just a song that I felt like was important. I wrote it and I heard Stapleton’s voice on it in my head. And here we are,” Pearce said.
Pearce has always said she wanted to write music that “makes people feel something” and she did just that with “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” Stapleton who is nominated for both Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, adds an extra element to the song.
“I think the way that it’s shot is really beautiful. And I feel like you kind of see Chris in a light that you’ve never seen him in before, which you’ll understand when you see it. It’s cool,” Pearce said of her CMA Awards performance with Stapleton.
In addition to “We Don’t Fight Anymore,” Pearce continues with her new music chapter by releasing two additional songs including “Country Music Made Me Do It” and “Heels Over Head.”
The GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Award-winning singer-songwriter is currently amid her fall 2023 headlining ‘Country Music Made Me Do It Tour’ with Adam Doleac and Hannah Ellis as supporting acts.
The 2023 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena tonight (Wednesday, November 8) at 8/7c hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
