New ‘Snoopy’ Plush Is Going Viral And Is Huge This Holiday Season
For over six decades one of the most loved animated dogs in the world is Snoopy from the Peanuts gang. The white beagle is one of the most recognizable characters, not only in America, but all over the world. When I was a kid, I had a stuffed Snoopy and I loved him! I can’t remember the year, but in the late 70’s or early 80’s I also had the Snoopy Snow Cone Maker. That thing rocked! Now Charlie Brown’s sweet and funny dog is going viral on TikTok.
Gen Z, those born between 1997 and 2012, are clamoring for a new Snoopy plush sold at CVS stores. According to In The Know, Gen Z is making the new stuffed Snoopy one of the hottest items this holiday season. Usually, it’s parents rushing out to stores to get a hot toy, but it’s Gen Z running out to CVS stores all over the country to find this viral plush Snoopy toy. The toy is blowing up on TikTok.
The Snoopy plush that folks are trying to get is selling between $14 and $17 dollars at CVS stores all over. The new stuffed animal is wearing a green-and-yellow striped winter hat and a pale-blue puffy coat.
What’s The Big Deal With Snoopy
Now, Snoopy wearing clothes isn’t new. The cute dog has had quite the wardrobe over the years. Not that this plush isn’t cute, it is! But there’s nothing wild or new about the stuffed animal. The big deal is that someone bought the toy, posted a video on TikTok, and it’s just gone viral! Folks on TikTok are making the toy so popular, it’s difficult to find in some states. When people are spotting the toy at a local CVS, they’re posting about sightings all over social media platforms.
Snoopy is becoming so popular that folks are re-selling the plush online for upwards of $60. What?! In addition to hiking up the prices, folks are also buying up more Snoopy items. The dog’s popularity with Gen Z apparently isn’t new. Many of the younger fans are aware of their ‘inner child’ and have grown up money, so they’re indulging in what makes them happy.
That theory I understand! Although making ‘grown up’ money is questionable, I’m very aware of my ‘inner child’ which is why my home is filled with snowmen for the winter. This weekend I decorated my snowman tree. Love it! Shopping at CVS is something I do often, so next time I’m there I’m going to look for the new Snoopy plush. You should too! He IS adorable!
