According to WCNC Charlotte, these songs were the most streamed songs on Apple Music in 2023 and some might shock you.
The top place spot for the most streamed song of 2023 was Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night.” The song topped the Apple Music global charts for 52 days straight. The country hit has taken the number one spot for the year due to its huge success on the charts.
In second place for the year was “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus, which was a large hit across social media right after its release. “Kill Bill” by SZA was in third and was also extremely popular on apps like TikTok and Instagram. “Rich Flex” by Drake and 21 Savage was in fourth, and another SZA song called “Snooze” was in fifth. Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” just didn’t make the top five, coming in sixth place.
SZA is currently leading the 2024 Grammy nominations. She topped Apple’s 2023 most-read lyrics for her hit song “Kill Bill.”
“Last Night” by Morgan Wallen stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of 16 weeks this year. This means it beat Harry Styles’ “As It Was” for the longest time a non-collaboration has taken the No.1 spot. The song is also tied with Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” is the second-longest reigning song in the Hot 100’s No. 1 spot.
