Jordan Davis: What He Considers a ‘Damn Good Time’
Jordan Davis’ upcoming fall tour is called “Damn Good Time Tour,” kicking off in August. When we interviewed him recently, we wondered what he would consider a “damn good time.”
Jordan told us, “I’m like man old man, I go to bed at like nine o’clock. So maybe a damn good day (laughs). Yeah, it would be somewhere on the water and fishing. And Tequila’s invited too. Fishing. I don’t get to do it a ton, so anytime I have off, I like to go try to catch a fish.”
Davis thinks for a moment and adds, “That’s like the most boring thing you can think of, isn’t it? Yeah, that was pretty weak, but it was honest.”

Davis’ headlining “Damn Good Time Tour” kicks off this August (8/31) in Atlanta at the Roxy before heading to Nashville on Labor Day weekend (9/1), Philadelphia (10/5), New York (10/6) and Boston (10/7) before wrapping in Las Vegas in October (10/21). Tour openers include Avery Anna, Gabby Barrett, Danielle Bradberry, Flatland Calvary, Greylan James, Dylan Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe, Mike Ryan, Connor Smith, and Georgia Webster.
Before he headlines his tour, Jordan is touring as part of Dierks Bentley’s “Gravel & Gold Tour.” He told us of his buddy Dierks, “When I grow up, I want to be Dierks Bentley. (laughs) I know I’ve made that joke before, but like I just love that guy to death. I feel like I know, not just Dierks; I know his band pretty well. Dan, his fiddle guy, I’ve known for longer than I’ve known Dierks. More importantly like, it’s a master class. That band is so good. Dierks is an entertainer to the nth degree, and just really, really great people, and this job gets tough, and being on the road with really good people makes it a little bit easier.”
Davis added, “And it doesn’t suck that Dierks can fly a plane, so we can be home pretty quick if he’s got any open seats. Dierks, I’d love to hop in there with ya. I’ll even help you fly if you need some help, you know? I’m kidding—you’re flying the whole way.”
