Reba Sets Taylor Swift ‘Brat’ Story Straight
Reba did not call Taylor Swift a “brat” after singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in early February, and she seems a bit pissed that a story on the Internet says she did.
Reba posted a clip of a story that read: “Reba McEntire talks about how disappointed she was to look at the big screen while performing the National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event. ‘I let her have it afterward. She’s an entitled little brat.'”
Don’t Believe It
The country icon captioned the fake news article on Instagram, “Please don’t believe everything you see on the Internet. I did not say this. Taylor is a wonderful artist, a strong role model, and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry.”
Fans React
Many of Reba’s fans commented on the spot, including one who said, “I read it without looking at who posted it or the caption, and I IMMEDIATELY KNEW Reba didn’t say that. Pretty pathetic to make up such awful things.” One more fan commented, “Taylor is a class act just as Reba is.” However, at least one fan believed the allegedly false story, writing, “Go, Reba, go!!! No respect!! For this country herself or you!!! That sounds like a brat to me.”

This is not the first time Reba posted about an untrue internet story. In February, she posted to Instagram a shot of an article online with the headline: “Reba Confirms She’s Leaving ‘The Voice’ After Her Accidental Live Confession.” In big red letters, she wrote over the article “FALSE.” She captioned the post with a warning to fans: “Please do not click on any articles that say I am leaving The Voice. This is not true.”
False Websites
She added, “These are fake websites to lure people in with clickbait where they claim I have a company to sell weight loss gummy products. This is false. I do not sell or promote any type of gummy product. Please report these posts if you see them on Facebook or Instagram.”
