She Didn’t Just Love Him For His Delorean After All
I’m so glad that this came across my computer’s datebook this morning. So often we get bogged down and inundated by news of celebrity couples in crises and scandal.
At times it has to seem like we only celebrate those who can’t or don’t stay together.
And isn’t that terrible?
I think about something Oprah Winfrey said years ago (and, ironically, Oprah’s NEVER been married), “When you say ‘For better or worse,’ you gotta realize ‘worse’ can be REAL bad!”
You think it’s all been sunshine and rose for Tim McGraw or Faith Hill? Doubt it. Does the fact they’ve stayed together through 22 years of marriage make me respect them even more as people than artists? Absolutely.
Another couple that deserves all our admiration? Michael J. Fox and his wife of now 30 years, Tracy Pollan. Because of his condition, there’s a good chance and entire generation has no idea how big a star he was-much less how big a star in life she is for all she’s done and been for him and his family.
So, today we celebrate a celebrity couple that stayed together through a whole lot of “Worse.”
