Country Music At The Super Bowl?

One of my biggest pet peeves with the Super Bowl is how every year the NFL gnashes their teeth trying to find someone to play halftime…WHO IS NOT in Country Music.

It makes me nuts that our biggest acts sell out their stadiums-constantly-yet are deemed “not mainstream enough” to headline their biggest event.

Well, it may not be halftime, but it’s progress, at Super Bowl 53, the Zac Brown Band will perform a free Pandora Live event at the Bud Light Dive Bar at the Tabernacle. The show will take place the week of game on January 31st.

It’s been two years since the ZBB has had new music, and their video for their new song,  ‘Someone I Used to Know” was released during Christmas.

The band will get back on the road in the Spring for their “Down The Rabbit Hole” Live tour.

 

Charlie Nance is the Afternoon Drive co-host (along with his wife) of "The Charlie and Debbie Show" at WSOC, Country 1037 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
