Mr. Girl Scout Cookies
It’s so funny to me that I came across this story today, as two weeks ago I was walking into a Target on a FREEZING Saturday afternoon looking at a group of shivering Girl Scouts selling their cookies.
I distinctly remember thinking, “If I had the cash, I’d buy every box just so they wouldn’t have to stand out in this.”
Well, that’s EXACTLY what an Upstate Good Samaritan did!
As temperatures on Friday started plunging toward freezing an unidentified man, who had already spent $40 on a few boxes of cookies, returned telling the members of Greenville’s Troop 1574, “Pack up all of your cookies. I’m taking them all so y’all can get out of this cold”.
Total bill: $540. While he didn’t give his name, he did say hewas a local businessman “and that he was going to take the cookies to the businesses.”
How cool is this?
I wonder if I stood outside in the cold with my power bill or mortgage… 😉
