Hotel California…LIVE!
There are two questions that over the years we’ve been asked more than any other. First, “Are you really married?” As if ANYONE would edure what it takes to pull of THAT hoax <g>.
And two, isn’t it awesome to be able to go to every concert for free. And we can understand this one. However, let me frame it like this. Let’s say you’re a mechanic Monday thru Friday. Do you think it’s awesome to change your own oil on the weekend?
That being said, we LOVE music…always have, always will. And you will still find us from time to time at Coyote Joe’s sitting in to watch a new artist we’ve heard a lot about or think will be big one day.
I’ve only bought tickets for two shows in the last, gosh, 25 years: Keith Urban at the amphitheater a couple of years ago, and The Eagles.
The Eagles was a bucket-list show. My only regret is we didn’t see them before Glenn Frey died. It was EXPENSIVE, but it was worth it. The show was three hours of songs you know by heart that sounded just like the first time you hit play on the record player/cassette/CD.
HOWEVER, and I hate to be this guy, but they didn’t play my favorite song.

So honestly, I left a little bummed. “Wasted Time” got me through a really tough stretch in my late teens/early 20s. Some songs are like that, right?
“Wasted Time” was never a single, but an album cut off of one of the greatest albums in music history, “Hotel California.” Some of the songs on this album include: “Life in the Fast Lane,” “New Kid in Town,” “Victim of Love,” “The Last Resort,” “Pretty Maids All in a Row” and of course…the title track.
Well, The Eagles have announced they will be performing, the album in its entirety this fall at its only two North American shows of the year, September 27 and 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Tickets for both shows go on sale next Friday, April 12th.
So, I guess I’m just a lottery win away from getting to see and hear my favorite song? <g>
