20 Years Of Selfies In 8 Minutes
I preface this with two things:
- This guy is INSANELY brave. I don’t even like what I see in the mirror enough to look each day, much less document it with a picture each day
- Which leads to this. 20 years ago, “selfie” wasn’t even a word! This guy is a visionary
Noah Kalina is a photographer who, starting on January 11, 2000, faithfully photographed his face once a day. And he hasn’t stopped. What you see below in 8 minutes is over 7,260 photos, and it continues to be a work in progress he says.
Again, I cannot stress enough the dedication of this man. For at least the first few years of this project, he was having to take the photos the old fashioned way, with a camera-perhaps even one with film (pre-digital). That would mean getting film processed and pictures developed.
If selfie addicts had to deal with those time consuming obstacles, they’d NEVER point the lens at themself. This is truly amazing.
