Big Game Ad Kills Off American Icon
Apparently after 104 years, “Mr. Peanut” has outlived his usefulness as spokesman for Planters.
The @MrPeanut twitter account wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Mr. Peanut has died at 104. In the ultimate selfless act, he sacrificed himself to save his friends when they needed him most. Please pay your respects with #RIPeanut.”
As you can see, Wesley Snipes and Matt Walsh are saved by Mr. Peanut’s selfless act of heroism. No word as to what the new look of Planters will be.
The full ad airs during the Super Bowl on February 2.
Oh, and how funny is it that someone is paid to keep up “Mr Peanut’s” twitter?!
