Acoustic Cody Johnson…Just WOW
If I have one mystery left to solve in the world of Country Music is involves “Texas” music and why it doesn’t seem to resonate with the rest of the country like it does in our home state.
Now there have been some who have had moderate success: Ely Young Band, Pat Green, Randy Rogers Band, etc., but NONE have had near the success outside of the Lone Star State that they’ve had within.
For example, Pat Green once did a show at Coyote Joe’s in front of around 1000 people. Two nights before he sold out the American Airlines Arena in Dallas (20,000+ seating capacity).
And it can’t be the music…it’s great. I mean, to me, country is country. If it’s good, I don’t care what part of the country it comes from.
Anyway, one of these artists that is producing GREAT music on the regular is Cody Johnson. He’s got one of the best bluesy, country voices I’ve ever heard.
