And The Most Played Movie On TV Is…
Maybe it’s because 2020 has been the year of watching more television than any other in our lives (due to constant home isolation during the Covid-19 Pandemic).
Anyway, more than ever before, I’ve become aware of how much some things are shown on TV. For example, I think I can watch “The Office” on at least 3 different outlets in any time of the day or night.
And movies are just as bad. I swear, I’ve seen “Smokey and the Bandit” 20 times this summer. Which brings me to this. Do you have any idea what the most shown movie actually is?
If you guessed “Gladiator,” “Ghostbusters,” “Top Gun,” “A Few Good Men,” or “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” you would not be far off.
Coming in second is “Jumanji.” In 2020 it’s aired 77 times on 11 networks.
However, the gold medal?
That’s right, the Patrick Swayze classic, “Road House” has aired 83 times on 10 different networks. And I bet I’ve seen at least half of them.
Love that movie! <g>
