First Day Of College? DISASTROUS 2020 Continues!
Okay, quickly, let’s review the highlights of the glorious year that has been 2020 from the perspective of one that was a high school senior:
1. A Global Pandemic shuts down your last three months of high school. No prom, No spring sports, No graduation (in most cases)
2. Race riots and protests
3. Murder Hornets
4. Fire Tornados
5. Not one, but TWO hurricanes about to strike the Gulf Coast
In fact, the only thing that’s kept you going is the thought of going off to college in the fall.
COOL YOUR JETS, SPARKY
Many schools have shut their campuses to students, in-person learning, or both. Well, at least there’s the education, and there’s Zoom for that, right?
Right?
Which brings us to this beautiful girl. Madelyn Lewis is a friend of our son. She’s also one of our #ClassOf2020Strong kids and is currently enrolled as a freshman at Wingate.
Today was the first day of classes-by remote learning (aka “Zoom”)-and as she’s living at home this semester…well, let’s pick up the story there…
Oh well, better luck tomorrow
