Classic Love Song Becomes “Ode To Mac And Cheese”
Nothing makes me happier than when I singers/celebrities who don’t take what they do or themselves very seriously. More than that, when you find one who, in the past, was guilty of this…but has now changed his ways.
Michael Bolton is one of the most distinctive voices and iconic singers of love songs in the last 30 years. However, having worked in the same building with radio stations that had to deal with him at times…he has been known to be VERY aware of this (if you get my drift).
Nice to know, he’s lightened up a bit. His recording of Percy Sledge’s “When A Man Loves A Woman” is one of the greatest covers of all-time. In fact, it’s so good, a lot of people don’t realize/have forgotten the song is not his.
Anyway, in the new ad for Panera Bread spotlighting their new mashup between Mac & Cheese and Broccoli and Cheese Soup, Bolton croons about a much different relationship than originally intended in the song.

“When some mac loves broccoli cheddar/ Can’t keep your mouth on nothin’ else/Two classic loves swirled into one/Yes, it’s soup on tender pasta/It can do no wrong/Cause creamy cheese and broccoli loves macaroni.”
How great is this?
And how much am I dying to try it!
