Carrie Underwood’s Gospel Cover Is Nothing Short Of Amazing
I was raised in the Baptist Church. In fact, I was one of those that felt like we were in the church doors every time they were open. <g> I’m not complaining, just stating facts.
Although I didn’t know it at the time, all those hymns became ingrained in my soul. Traditional hymns might as well be unicorn these days. I can’t remember the last time I was in a Baptist Church and heard an organ leading a congregation through a classic hymn. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, I just miss those classic, great, spiritual songs.
Anyway, Carrie Underwood’s got a gospel album on the way and released this little nugget on her Instagram account yesterday.
Normally, I wouldn’t be this jazzed about gospel music, but…”Wow!” Seeing and hearing this caused me to do a little more digging, so here’s the full song.
