Pizza Vending Machines Are A Thing
So I come at this from a couple of different perspectives. First, I love pizza. Who doesn’t, right? Well, if you don’t, I don’t think we can be friends. Second, between my junior and senior years in high school, I spent a summer playing basketball for a United States team in Italy. I traveled the entire country, from north to south (even into Sicily), and then back again. And if you think we love pizza, it’s a staple of life over there. The Italian people take great pride in their pizza and how it is made, which is why this is a stunning development to me.
There’s a new vending machine coming to Rome. A pizza vending machine. But, it’s not just any old pizza. The vending machine will make a fresh pizza from scratch in exactly three minutes (and you can watch the whole process through glass panes). Now before you think that these are being 100% welcomed with open arms, food bloggers in the city (where there is no shortage of amazing pizza) haven’t exactly been kind to the vending machine option. I must admit, I’m intrigued and would love to see it in action and try the pizza.
