Mooresville Lowe’s is Giving Away Hurricane Relief Buckets
Lowe’s is giving back with a major hurricane relief fund. The Mooresville Lowe’s facility will be giving away hurricane relief buckets during the upcoming hurricane season. Essential items will be placed in these buckets so they will be readily available to those in need.
On Monday, July 19th, many Lowe’s Bucket Brigade volunteers gathered for the packing event. More than a dozen volunteers at Lowe’s Statesville regional distribution center assembled 10,000 buckets filled with hurricane relief supplies during the company’s fifth annual bucket brigade. The buckets included sanitizer, scrub brushes, bleach, work gloves, water, and other essentials to help communities recover after a hurricane.
All of the pails will be stored at the Statesville distribution center until they are needed. They will be giving away these buckets locally and also across the country. As they are needed, Mooresville-based business will hold a drive-through event at one of its stores to distribute them to those in need. This is the 5th year for Lowe’s annual bucket brigade, the buckets will be ready to ship out by the end of the week.
